Biote® HRT with physician-led care

Physician-led bioidentical hormone replacement therapy with consultation and individualized care by Dr. Magdalena Flores, MD, FACOG.

At Brownsville OB/GYN Associates, Dr. Magdalena Flores, MD, FACOG, manages Biote HRT for appropriate patients as a Biote Certified Provider.

Care begins with a consultation, symptom review, and laboratory evaluation. When appropriate, Dr. Flores discusses whether pellet therapy fits your goals, health history, and care plan.

What is Biote HRT?

Biote’s Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, also known as BHRT, uses hormones that are bioidentical to those found in the human body.

The treatment uses small, custom-compounded hormone pellets. Each patient’s symptoms, health history, and treatment needs are unique, so hormone care should be evaluated individually with a qualified physician.

How pellet therapy works

Pellets are inserted beneath the skin during a brief, in-office procedure. They are gradually absorbed and release hormones over time.

Biote HRT is not appropriate for everyone. Dr. Flores will review your symptoms, health history, laboratory results, and treatment options before discussing whether pellet therapy may be appropriate for you.

What to expect

Your treatment experience will depend on your individual health history and goals. Biote reports that some patients experience relief in as little as four weeks, while full optimization may take six months or more.

Results and timing vary. Your physician will help you understand what to expect and whether additional evaluation or follow-up is appropriate.

Is Biote HRT right for you?

The first step is a consultation with Dr. Flores. Together, you can discuss your symptoms, concerns, treatment goals, laboratory evaluation, and available options.
